Question # 6 – Do you provide scholarships for your training?
June 4th, 2006
Hi, this is Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. I’m answering the top ten questions as surveyed by our students on May 15, 2006.
Question No. 6: Do you provide scholarships for your training?
The short answer on this is yes we do in certain circumstances.
Front Sight has literally provided millions and millions of dollars in cash and benefits to different organizations that help others.
Basically, we have a philanthropic side. It’s IgnatiusPiazza.com: Helping Those Who Help Others, and we provide, as I said, cash and benefits to these organizations, and we do that quite often in the form of providing our course certificates to different non-profits that auction or raffle them off so that they can raise money for their organizations and then people who purchase those certificates at these events can come out and take classes with us.
We also have – through our membership program – a number of members that take the Front Sight course certificates that are only good for a student’s first course and they provide those as law enforcement scholarships and different type of scholarship programs. So that’s how we do this type of arrangement, so that people that are in need of our training can come out and get the training.
It’s through scholarships that are provided by our members by using their certificates and setting up these different scholarships, and by donating directly to those organizations that provide these certificates in one form or another to benefit their non-profit organization.
Again, if you’d like to get more information about that, you can go to IgnatiusPiazza.com – and that’s a philanthropic site that I set up. And it’s helped a number of organizations and you’ll see them there.
I hope that’s answered the question for you. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
