Police Officer finds reports useful
February 15th, 2007
Dear Dr. Piazza:
Thank you, I am receiving your training reports and so far I have found them useful. I am a retired Police Officer with 28 years on the force. One of the reasons I was retired was as a result of a gun fight that I was involved in and survived. I survived because of the training I received every month for that 28 years, and the importance of taking that training seriously. I believe in the old saying “If you practice like you play, you’ll play like you practice.” If you put 100% effort into your training, it will help you 110%. I still train with my department and shoot once a month. Your training report will serve as reminders when I go to the range. Sometimes I forget about trigger control, and line of sight. I know if I review these on a daily basis, they will be so ingrained in me that it will become second nature to me.
Thank you, and I look forward to more of your training report e-mails.
Bob Gilbert,
Merced Police Department (Retired)
