NRA Instructor Responds
January 14th, 2008
I have been reading your series of reports, (I just finished #9) and have had much time to reflect on the clarity of your reports and the cutting information they contain. It would be much easier to bury my head in the sand and pretend that the world is a warm fuzzy place, but you have pointed out that just being aware of your surroundings is what separates survivors from hapless victims.
I am a NRA basic pistol instructor, and soon will be certified to teach the CCW course here in NC.
I am planning on attending your 4day handgun course as soon as I can afford it, although I am really considering becoming a member as the payment terms are more realistic to my income. I feel by attending your course it will expand my skills, knowledge, and credibility, also giving my students value for their time and money.
I am a retired 20 year Army veteran, training soldiers in both peacetime and in combat. I see your classes cut thru all the learning detractors and get to the meat of the course with efficiency, that is what people really want, not days of theory sprinkled with a couple of hours of range time. Hands on works best, always!
In closing, I look forward on reading more of your reports and look for me this spring to attend one of your courses as soon as I work out all the logistics of it.
Till we meet at the range,
