Dr. Piazza,
As a firearms instructor (civilian and law enforcement) I could not agree with your 7 Deadly Misconceptions newsletter more. I can’t tell you how many of the officers in my department think that they can “point shoot”. I have to battle with other instructors from time to time with this “new” and “great” method. Consistently I show officers that have had this type of instruction how to use the front sight, and like magic their scores improve and they see that they can hit a target with speed and accuracy. Giving them the confidence to hit a target often starts them on the road of “Man, I need to get into the range more”. I thank you for the newsletter. I hope to be able to attend a course at your facility in the near future.
