Dr. Piazza,
Thank you for the excellent DVD ‘Front Sight Story, Chapter One: Your Legacy’. I received it in yesterday’s mail and watched it in the evening, it is one of the best produced documentary type films that I have had the pleasure of viewing, the quality is superb, well written and produced.
I had mentioned in previous correspondence that I am a retired LEO with 37 years of service, and I will be 78 in November. How I wish that I were younger and able to attend a pistol course at Front Site Resort. A severe back problem further makes this unlikely. I have been shooting since about age 12, sixty-five years, and have fired pistols, rifles, shotguns and machine guns. And I continue to maintain my proficiency with a pistol. I have a CC Permit under HR 218 and carry either a SA XD .45 or S&W MP .40. I had a Thompson SMG back in the late 50’s and my sons each fired it a few times, the youngest son was 7 years old and I let him fire it with three rounds in the magazine.
I would like to become a member of Front Sight and to receive additional DVD’s as I will share them with younger friends and our police department. I will also send one to a woman friend of ours who lives in Canada. She lived many years in South Africa and became very proficient with a handgun. She is supportive of law enforcement and I know that she wishes that she could own a handgun today.
I will find the form to join Front Sight and forward it shortly.
Thank you again for a great reminder of the importance of saving our 2nd Amendment.
