Response to Monday Blog Posts…

Dr. Piazza,

This stuff is invaluable!

There are no better lessons than from the simple facts from real incidents.

Equipment, accuracy, training and practice, training and practice.

Having a piano doesn’t make you a musician.

Thanks!

From The Mailbag…

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Dear Dr Piazza,

I feel compelled to write to congratulate you on not only your impressive company but also your obvious knowledge, patriotism and attitude towards firearms and self-defense.

I am a recent arrival in the USA, having married a Californian and moving here from my native United Kingdom two years ago. At 38 years of age I am in the fortunate position of ‘re-starting’ my life, with the sale of my company in the UK and moving to the sun (although the weather does take some getting used to compared to England!). My ‘past life’ included a period in…

Another Lesson in Disparity of Force… This Time With Positive Results

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Today’s blog is for every Cop and Concealed Weapon Permit Holder who DOES NOT carry their weapon EVERYWHERE they go.

I know there are times when carrying a gun is uncomfortable and a significant inconvenience. Dealing with carrying a weapon in hot weather, while traveling on airlines, enjoying vacation, or exercising is not pleasant, but there is nothing worse than needing a gun and not having one. Shame on you if you are caught without your gun when it is needed to save your life or the lives of your loved ones — especially when you have been granted the right…

Ever since Pastor Tom Willcox of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon, PA requested my help, resulting in me sending you the opportunity to help protect YOUR place of worship in exchange for Front Sight rewarding YOU with a $6,900 Challenge Lifetime Membership for Zero, Zip, Nada (that means for nothing) the phone has been ringing day and night with people calling and saying, “Sign me up for the 5 for 1 Challenge Memberships!”

Front Sight Firearms Training - From the Mail bag

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Dr. Piazza,

Once again, superb training for careful consideration. The thing I’ve been most impressed with Front Sight training is the thoroughness and thoughtfulness of the examples used to illustrate when it is appropriate to present and use a weapon. I think the situation of the unarmed assailant is the most troublesome to ponder, but this example puts the problem in context.

My continued admiration.

Response to “A Lesson in Disparity of Force…”

Yesterday’s blog post, “A Lesson in Disparity of Force…“, prompted the following response from one of our readers, posted here in its entirety:

Dr. Piazza,

I am writing to you about the Monday blog detailing the incident at Valley Fair Theme Park in Shakopee, MN.

What I am about to tell you will make you madder than hell. Valley Fair Theme park makes it a point to wand all of their guests, so that the law abiding citizens who go there have no recourse against packs of violent individuals who go there. Furthermore, all they allow their security personnel to…

A Lesson in Disparity of Force…

Monday, August 4th, 2008

What do you do when confronted with an unarmed adversary?

What do you do when confronted with multiple unarmed adversaries?

Can you shoot unarmed adversaries?

These questions are answered in this week’s blog post by studying another real-life example of what can happen to you at any time, in any place — once again demonstrating the importance of having a concealed weapon and knowing when to use it…

First, I want you to read what the below men did to a good man and his family while at an amusement park. As you read this news report, ask yourself what you would have done…

Dr. Piazza,

I received my copy of your DVD in the mail a few days ago, and as you requested I viewed it that evening. Let me tell you, I am seriously impressed. I can’t believe that I haven’t heard about Front Sight before
now. As stated on your video, your organization is a leader in a battle that firearms owners have almost lost already. I too, believe very strongly in your cause and you will have my support.

I was involved in a pretty serious motorcycle wreck almost a year ago, and have not quite recovered (financially), but I…
