Who do criminals fear?

Dr. Piazza,Excellent instruction.I well remember a study that was done a number of years ago, involving interviews with violent criminals in prison in order to determine what they feared while they were out committing mayhem upon the public.They did not fear the police because they would be long gone before the police arrived.
They did not fear the judicial system because of plea bargining and shortened sentences due to prison overcrowding.
Their only fear, in their own words, was the possibility that their next victim might be armed.
Nuff said.
