Dr. Piazza,
Sound council here, except for the advice he gave about being more alert for signs that an individual could be about to commit such an act.
We already have way too many trigger happy jack booted thugs in law enforcement just waiting for a good excuse to play rambo, raid a home, terrorize those inside, confiscate weapons, and generally throw their weight around. We don’t need anymore snitches. Complaining about the criminals in D.C. could be interpreted by some to be such a sign.
I wish this man had focused on the one common denominator relative to almost all such shootings: the fact that the shooter was on at least one psychotropic drug, like ritalin, prosac, etc., or had just stopped taking them.
The media has so much fear of the pharmaceutical industry and the hit men they employ like Donald Rumsfeld that the truth about the self destructive and violently anti-social side affects of these drugs has gone largely unreported.
