Two nineteen year old college students in New Orleans were kidnapped last weekend and their bodies were found on Monday in an abandoned house. The twenty two year old suspect, Kenneth Barnes will be charged with aggravated kidnapping and possession of stolen items, along with other crimes. It took a while to find the bodies, but twenty police recruits and a cadaver dog later, they were discovered. The story that the police say happened is that the two students were in one of their apartments when two perpetrators broke in and burglarized the place. They were then forced to go over to the other victim’s house, so the two men could take some more loot. The attackers then placed a ransom call and took them to the abandoned house where the bodies were found. The attack shows no signs of being planned or staged in any way; the victims did not know their attackers and were generally non violent law abiding citizens. But such is life, you know?
