Dear Dr. Piazza,
I just finished reading your Moral and Ethical Decision Making email. I have to say that it was the best presentation of the mental process one needs to go through to face the reality and aftermath of violence I have read. I think a lot of people who initially get the idea that they want to purchase a weapon for self defense have not really thought these things through. You are doing a service to them by helping them face these issues.
My personal training background in combatives has been in Okinawan karate, and there is a great deal of emphasis in ethical training in Asian martial arts which I believe is missing in much of our modern firearms training. I am encouraged to see your attention to this aspect.
Hope to have the honor of meeting you someday.
