Your Jefferson video brings tears to my eyes every time. When I visited Washington, I could not stand in the Jefferson memorial without getting emotional. Why? A combination of things The immense pride in a country that once took to heart the teachings of this great man, and the intense sadness and frustration that for the most part, Americans are giving up the ideals of freedom without a fight. People say that if Jefferson were alive today that he could not get elected. I know that to be true because we had an opportunity for a modern day Jefferson with Ron Paul, and we let it slip away. We are now paying the price for not heeding his warnings in time. Can we still come back from this? I certainly respect and admire all of your efforts, and those of many others who are leading the charge. I hope that we are not now the minority: That we are the sleeping giant in this nation who is coming out of a long sleep to realize that we have been betrayed by the very people we sent to Washington to protect our liberties.
I know one thing for sure, we’d be a lot better off if our elected officials spent more time down at the Jefferson memorial than they do in the capitol building.
