The 9/11 video I placed on my blog yesterday created the greatest number of responses in a 24 hour period that I have ever received!

With a subscriber list of nearly 250,000 people I have a pretty good sample size of a cross section of American gun owners.

I asked what YOU believed was the truth and boy did you all respond!

What I found most remarkable was not only how polarized the responses were, but also how much emotion was behind the responses.

I personally answered as many of your e-mails as I could. I’m sorry that I could not answer all of you. There were just too many e-mails.

The responses were split right about down the middle with approximately half firmly believing that 9/11 was an inside job by the government and the other half berating anyone who would ever consider such an idea.

There was really very little middle ground at all. Again, quite remarkable!

Many of you wanted to know what I believe. Well, after receiving such a rapid and emotional response, equally from both sides of the fence, one thing is perfectly clear to me— 9/11 is a VERY heated subject that without further, well publicized examination, will likely remain that way for many years to come.

Personally I’ve always wanted to believe that our government would never do anything so nefarious to its own people, no matter what the motivation to do so.

If my list of 250,000 subscribers is any indication of the general consensus of gun owners in this country, your responses indicate that half of you do not trust the government at all and have not been satisfied with the answers received to date.

In my opinion, the government should be concerned about this and make further attempts to satisfy the public’s thirst for answers.

The key to clearing the air on this issue is to provide more scientific examination to the specific questions that persist so there can be some real consensus (not a 50/50 split) on what really happened before, during and after 9/11.

In that light, the conspiracy theories do help to identify the persistent questions that Americans want answered.
