Ignatius Piazza: The Great Equalizer…

“No matter what his strength or size, depend on me… I equalize.” Inscription often engraved on pistols given to a woman in an earlier era of American history.

Last week I shared an e-mail with you from a student who brought his wife with him to a Front Sight course. Prior to the course his wife was afraid of guns and would never consider ever touching or using a gun to defend herself.

After the course she was no longer afraid and had become quite proficient with her marksmanship and gun handling.

As a result I have been flooded with requests from male students asking me how they can convince the females in their lives, especially those women who are anti-gun, to embrace the idea that a gun is a tool that every woman should have and know how to use…

Well, this blog is for those women.

I have selected four different videos you can show the ladies in your life.

I have also made some observations prior to each video, and at the bottom of this blog have given a great opportunity for women to come to Front Sight for a positively life-changing experience.

Here is video #1:

Note that she had the doors locked, big dogs in her yard, was on the phone with the police, but he still got in and sexually assaulted her. What she lacked was the great equalizer… a gun. This is also about the best response time you will ever get from the police and when they finally arrived it took five of them to subdue her attacker!

Here is video #2:

Note that she had her house locked, she had surveillance cameras running, and possessed a handgun. After four men did everything they could to get into her house, and the police could not arrive it in time to catch them, her decision was to purchase a rifle, showing once again that in a lethal encounter, no one ever wishes they had a smaller gun and fewer bullets!

Note that she had her house locked, the police on the way, but he still entered her home against her will. Fortunately she was armed and fired. Unfortunately she had never been trained to look for a flash sight picture or how to press the trigger to deliver incapacitating hits to the thoracic cavity and instead hit low in the abdomen and the leg. Lucky for her, he fled, and was later caught by the police. She then had to face the ordeal of having to testify against him. She is a smart, brave woman, but could have used our training.

Note the 911 call. Her house was locked, she was on the phone with the police, and still her assailant persisted in breaking in to assault her. Remarkably, someone had given her a gun THAT DAY to protect herself. Without it she would have been murdered.

Ladies, simply having a gun gives you the opportunity of physical EQUALITY against any man.

Having a gun in your TRAINED hands makes you physically SUPERIOR to any man.
