Front Sight Mail Bag: Did Like You Showed Me…

Dear Dr. Piazza,
I have attended 2 of your 4 Day Defensive Handgun courses in this year and although I have been a concealed permit holder for the past 4 years, I feel as if I knew nothing until Front Sight trained me.
My wife Lisa Marie would not take the class with me as she is too shy, however I was so impressed with my new training that I insisted on teaching her what I had learned.
Two weeks ago, I was not at home and my wife was in bed asleep when a medicated individual threw a large rock through our window and entered our home. My wife got her gun and commanded him to leave, said she was armed and would shoot, all while on the line with 911. He yelled “I’m not armed!” and jumped back through the broken window.
I arrived home 10 minutes after the incident and the police were there a few minutes before me.
I told my wife how proud I was of her staying cool and calm, she said “I just did like you showed me.”
I guess we just did like you trained me.
