Front Sight Mail Bag: More Prepared than the Rest of the World

I find the reports to be very helpful and useful, my reasons are twofold.
I originally became aware or/ acquainted with Frontsight from a flyer at an indoor range in Riverside CA. I wanted to be able to attend, but was not able to afford the then $2,000 price tag for the course.
Moving forward to 2009 I became re-acquainted with Frontsight from an internet ad. After subscribing to and reading your first set of reports I realized how unprepared I was, and how the rest of the world, law enforcement included, was not going to help me.
After attending a few classes here and there I attended my first Frontsight 4-day defensive handgun course. I then became aware how woefully un-prepared I was on day one. At the conclusion of day 4 I realized how much more prepared I was than the rest of the world, or most of it anyway. And I also realized that in order to maintain this level of training and awareness I needed constant training.
I am so grateful that you continue to create and print these gun training reports. I, as do many of us, live in a fairly quiet, shielded world. The worst crime I see on a daily basis is bad driving on the freeway on my way to work.
Reading the gun training reports reminds me of how my life can be affected and changed in an instant. How I need to be prepared to react to a situation at a moments notice, and the only notice I am going to get is the one I create for myself by keeping my level of mental awareness high at all times.
I do my best to live at Condition Yellow now. For those readers that don’t know what that is, they better get to Frontsight before it is to late, because this level of ignorance can get you killed. And getting killed usually takes less time than it does to realize that it is coming.
Thank you for these reports. You don’t let me forget, and that constant reminder has already, possibly, saved my life.
