Front Sight Mail Bag: Coming Back and Bringing Friends
October 2nd, 2010
Dr. Piazza:
I just got back from my two day Skill Builder course.
I need to express to you my sincere appreciation for your staff who took extra care for my needs.
Four months ago I was cut off by an uninsured driver and both me and my motorcycle went from 30 MPH to zero in about three inches. I sustained three cracked ribs (likely from my gun), a broken wrist, and one of the “ear” pieces of C-6 vertebrate broken completely off. My recovery has been spectacular except for the wrist. (It required five pins to hold it all in place.)
I thought it would be healed enough for the course but I was mistaken. I can present and shoot just fine but malfunctions were a serious impediment. I even required one of your instructors to unload my gun at the end of each exercise as I was unable to grab the slide and pull it back because of the pain. ALL of your instructors on range 1A went above and beyond to ensure that I completed the course and that I fulfilled my personal demands for being safe.
I commend them for their personal attention and you have every right to be proud to have them represent you. GOOD JOB – GREAT JOB
I request that you personally express to them my appreciation for their professionalism, attention to detail, and true concerns for others under their charge. I never got the impression that any one else was less served because of my needs. They handled it all. They did what had to be done for safety and for the training.
Thanks again. I will be back with more friends.
Robert M.
