Front Sight Mail Bag: Great Learning Experience
October 8th, 2010
Dear Dr. Piazza,
My brother and I attended Frontsight this past weekend along with almost 500 other students… it was amazing. There were more people out in the middle of the Mojave desert than in most small Nevada towns.
Both being from the Midwest the desert was really something to experience each day.
My expectations for the course were met and exceeded.
Being a firearms owner and daily CCW carrier “I did not know what I didn’t know”. I shoot competitively at the National Matches every year with service rifle and am expert rated. I shoot local match many times throughout the summers and felt that I was very conscious of safety and skill at arms with a rifle. I have not had much training with the handgun however, and came away with the mind set and skills that I will sharpen and hone.
I have to say that the class room lectures were just great. I usually don’t care for lectures but your presenters it a great learning experience and I now know that if its not worth killing or dying for – its not worth shooting someone for.
The Criminal and Civil Liability session was especially eye opening. I can say I now have the correct mind set for carry and possible use of the firearm.
Perfect practice makes perfect… I now feel for the first time ever that I can indeed practice perfect.
In my area of Western PA there are not many folks who have been that far west and certainly have not had the high level of training with skill at arms that Front Sight affords. With that said, many folks in my circle of influence have wanted to know about my experience and I have told them everything I’m sharing with you and more. Several guys were very interested to learn how they too could go to Front Sight for training. Without any hesitation I directed them to your website and highly encouraged them to look into it. I hope they will visit Front Sight for themselves and their families.
Best Regards,
Charles S.
