Front Sight’s Monday Blog: Why We Do What We Do
June 11th, 2012
I thought I would share just a few of the several hundred testimonials we receive every month so you can get it straight from our recent students and fully understand WHY we do what we do.
After reading a sample of what Front Sight provides each and every student, at each and every course, make sure you take advantage of Front Sight’s purpose to arm and train every responsible American who wants the Comfort of Skill at Arms when I send you unbelievable and amazing gun and training opportunities.
We really do live our purpose at Front Sight and I really do put my money where my mouth is to help positively change the image of gun ownership in our lifetimes by arming and training responsible citizens to levels that exceed law enforcement and military standards.
But don’t take my word for it. Here are a few of our recent students sharing their Front Sight experience with you…
Living in California I am often looked at in a negative way for my gun ownership. The presentation of gun ownership at Front Sight with their mission statement of, “Positively change the image of gun ownership by training responsible citizens to levels that exceed law enforcement and military standards –without any boot camp mentality or drill instructor attitudes” was the best efforts I have seen to alter this preconceived notion that gun ownership is anything but positive. After attending the class at Front Sight, I am willing to put my money where my mouth is, and pay for the experience of attending classes. I would, and probably will, sponsor the next individual to question my Second Amendment rights to a Front Sight Defensive Handgun Course. Thanks again for allowing me the privilege to attend, and for defending my right to gun ownership.

Tammy and I just finished our four-day defensive handgun course at Front Sight in Nevada. We had two E-7 DI’s in the class. One retired with 23 years, now a Phoenix cop, and the other still in reserves after retiring with 27 years. The latter was my partner. We had five cops and two US Marshalls in our class. All said the training that we had was the best that they had ever been through. Front Sight doesn’t BS! Four days, 40 hours with about 35 hours on the range. Two controlled shots to the thoracic cavity and one “failure to stop” shot to the cranio-ocular cavity in under 1.5 seconds, from concealment, by the fourth day!!! Shoot house, hostage situations, etc. Even Tammy can do it now!

Just finished the 4 day defensive pistol course. The instructors were amazing and very professional, detail oriented and demanding but personable and funny. It was just the right balance of formality, emphasis on safety and humor. I learned more about shooting than in my last 40 years of recreational shooting. This is the real deal and they won’t let you skimp on technique or delivery. I am now in full command of my firearm whereas before I was just happy to come close to what I was aiming at. Everything they stress makes sense and is practical. Highly recommended. Thanks Front Sight.
Your course is phenomenal. I was certainly surprised by the depth and quality of the staff, the facility and the program. The web site and other marketing hype put me off a good bit, but I have to admit that it isn’t hype! I can’t say enough good things about the training program. Once again, thanks for everything. You’re doing a great job.
I participated in a Front Sight 4-Day Defensive Handgun Course for the very first time. I’m Canadian and had a friend from Indiana who insisted I come down and experience what it was like to shoot a firearm safely and wisely. I had a certain apprehension when it came to use of firearms and the moral implications that would arise if I ever had to use it. But, trusting my friend implicitly, I agreed to come down, and having read the various emails you had sent to my inbox prior to my arrival and the various testimonials, I knew that if I was going to learn how to shoot and shoot properly, I’d be learning from the best. Well, I can say that my thoughts and expectations were not only met, but were GREATLY surpassed. I had an absolute blast! The time I spent at FS was some of the very best I’ve EVER spent.
But more than just the skills and drills, what impressed me even more was the genuine, honest attitude people had to the question of how to preserve your fledgling Second Amendment Rights and the moral and civil implications on when and if you were to exercise deadly force. When I understood why the 2nd Amendment included the right to bear arms, it clicked for me and I have strongly voiced my support for it, even here in Canada. People scoff and mock for me being a crazy ‘American gun nut’, but I get it, and applaud what you and your team are doing at Front Sight.
And, from the bottom of my heart, I’m grateful. I plan to bring my wife and kids down when they’re ready and teach them how to safely use firearms and I’d like to one day teach and instruct and return to FS what FS has given me. Your team that instructed us were golden and I’d learn from them again (in fact, over and over again). Seriously, the best of the best!!!!!
