Front Sight Mail Bag: Prior Military

Dear Dr. Piazza,
I’m prior military; I’ve been a police officer for more than two decades and an enthusiastic shooter for most of my life. Front Sight has given me the skills to increase my shooting ability far beyond the training I received from either the military or the police academy. What truly amazes me every time I come out is the diversity of the students. In just one of my classes we had a 12 year old taking his first class with his entire family. It was so encouraging to see someone so young being taught the proper way to safely handle firearms. There were was another family in the class that included a mother of 4 who had never fired a gun before, yet by the end of the class her accuracy was at least equal to many of the veteran officers I work with. I guess my point is, thanks for building this facility. Thanks for making it a family friendly environment. I’ll keep coming out to train, both for the skills I acquire and hone during the courses and for the people. Both staff and students are some the nicest, most straight forward and polite people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
