Deputy Responds to Gun Report

Dr. Piazza,
I read your next segment titled, “PENETRATION IS YOUR FRIEND” with much interest and especially appreciated your references regarding, “…carrying the Largest Caliber, Biggest Bullet and Most Powerful Loads” and that still yet, this is no match to the shotgun or rifle. This is absolutely correct and a continuing point of argument I too have professed over the years yet too few seem to be listening to the facts, let alone Training in such modes.
To the demise of at least two of the Deputies I worked with over the years and several other police officers in the area, who were not allowed to carry “The Optimum” caliber or load, because of supposed law suits, possible suits and/or blatant ignorance, etc., including a Range Master whose “expertise” was also severely lacking in this area even though retiring from the military, I have come to appreciate those who are “Continuing the Fight” and doing so with Professionalism.
There is far too much inexpert knowledge (and Training) which seems to run rampant and remains all too prevalent in our police departments these days, and it is to this point I wish to CONGRATULATE you in STANDING FIRM in your position of TRUTH and EXPERTISE… to continue on in UNYIELDING manner because IT IS ALL ABOUT SAVING THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO PROTECT US 24/7; INSISTING THEY RECEIVE THE BEST OF WEAPONS, AMMUNITION AND TRAINING and in PROVIDING THIS ACROSS-THE-BOARD FOR EVERYONE…
On behalf of those who have gone before us and those who have received such training as is presented at Front Sight, CONGRATULATIONS. Your work is not going unnoticed, it is very much appreciated and practiced.
