School Security Patrol Officer Response

Dr. Piazza,
I received your Legacy DVD and I wish I had not.
I am in awe. I had no idea a place like this existed.
I am absolutely positive when I find the means I will attend your facility.
Your facility is now on my list of things to do. You have made it very easy with all the options to attend, but I am on a very tight budget at this point and will have to plan very carefully and frugally to make this type of journey.
I work as a District Wide Security Patrol officer for a school district that is the 6th largest in the state, and I am saddened by the attitudes that educators take towards Gun Free zones. They just don’t get it.Our Dept is small and we are responsible for ensuring the safety of the schools but, what about us? We are unarmed. We must disarm ourselves to come to work even though we have Concealed Carry Permits.
I am struggling daily with the internal turmoil of working for an employer soooo anti-gun.
I didn’t think it would bother me so much but, I have since encountered at least three subjects armed with edged weapons while on duty in the early morning hours when no one else was near for any quick backup. I see the value in your training. It could make the difference in going home or not.
I have your material and I put it where I have to walk by it every day, so it will force me to take action as soon as the first opportunity presents itself.
I promise I will pass this DVD around to anyone who might have any interest or need of this training. Every one I know needs it!
