British Response
August 19th, 2009
Dr. Piazza,
Thank you for the moving story.
I need to tell you that I’m British born in England grew up there and moved here 20 years ago.
Your note of “fighting the greatest military power in the World”…
Fighting around the Globe today is challenging imagine what it would have been like then, also something you have omitted Britain at the time was fighting 3 war’s i’e with 3 different country’s so having your Army and Navy divided by 4 one for each theatre and one for home defence.
We won 2 and lost 1 not bad odds especially the one we lost was far away so with limited resources to give it as good as it was not a bad show. When i look at the history it was a close call.
But what you do get from the history is a great lesson, a trained people are able to defend their homeland. Skill with their rifle gave British troops a hard time.
Today we have a need for home defence you are providing the exact skills needed to enable us all be better prepared do protect our loved ones and home.
I have 2 sons one in the US Navy and one in the USMC he is in Iraq at the moment. Myself and my boys are saving up to come out to Nevada next year to get some excellent training we have devoured your books and eagerly wait for new stories from you. The guy’s at the rifle club are looking to put a team together to come over.
Thank you for the Skills you are sharing good luck with your company. When are you coming to the east coast we would like to think about starting a base over here?
Yours,
Steve L.
