My name is Robert W. Chesson. I am an attorney from Connecticut and I attended your 4-Day Defensive Handgun Course from October 15, 2010 to October 18, 2010.

First, let me say that I traveled to Front Sight with extremely high expectations.

I learned of Front Sight from someone who had recently returned from his trip and he set a pretty high bar for the training you provide.

I then spent a good bit of time investigating Front Sight and the more I read, the higher my expectations rose.

Not only did the individuals reflecting on their Front Sight training impact my expectations, but Front Sight’s own claims about what a Front Sight student will leave with continued to push those expectations even higher.

I eagerly signed up for my first class and anxiously awaited my trip.

I must say, I had really high hopes for what I was going to leave with after my trip.

The best way to sum up my experience now that I have returned home and had some time to reflect:

WOW!!!

Front Sight far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Not only did Front Sight exceed my expectations, it did so by a factor of 10!

The professionalism and friendliness of your staff was second to none. Your instructors all carried the image and message of Front Sight with pride and eloquence. They made everyone on the range feel comfortable with their training and sent 40 people off after the week with skills beyond their wildest dreams.

I admit, the lectures were painful. Not because we had to sit through them, but because they made us think. Making us think about what we were truly training to do and make decisions about the use of deadly force if left with no other choice was not something I bargained for. But, it was something for which I will be forever grateful.

Anyone who left without making that decision missed a large part of the reason they were training at Front Sight. Thank you, Front Sight for making me decide!

My entire family is safer now that I am a Consciously Competent and are even safer because I have decided to protect them with the skills I learned at Front Sight.

I am so impressed by Front Sight, I want to become a part of your organization.

I purchased memberships for me and my wife. But, I’m not talking about membership. I want to be a part of the elite group who get to wear the gray shirts and share the Front Sight mission and message with students from around the country.

I thought I might want to be a Front Sight Instructor before I trained with you. Now, there is no doubt.

I hope there is an opportunity coming soon to start the journey of becoming a member of the most elite group of firearms instructors in the world. In the meantime, my family and I will just have to keep accumulating frequent flyer miles as Front Sight students.

Thank you for your vision and your hard focus on the Front Sight. It is truly life changing.
