Ignatius, When are gun owners get smart enough to recognize weapons and quit calling an AK 47 an automatic weapon? An AK 47 is a semi automatic: Not an automatic! An automatic weapon fires when the trigger is pulled and does not stop firing until the trigger is released and requires a Class 3 license. People that have a class 3 license have been investigated to the hilt before a license is granted and the waiting period is a more lengthy time than just buying a handgun, rifle or shotgun. People with Class 3 licenses or C.C.W. permits don't do things like this. "I wish I had shot at him when he was going in the IHOP," said Swagler, who owns Locals BBQ & Grill. "But when he came at me, when somebody is pointing an automatic weapon at you--you can't believe the firepower, the kind of rounds coming out of that weapon." In my opinion, Swagler had not pre-commited himself to use deadly force, when and if the situation would require such action. He should quit carrying a gun if he isn't commited to its use and what a perfect time this would have been to protect his fellow man! I would not want to be in his shoes and deal with the aftermath of not helping, when he could have! This is why before I even started carrying a weapon I made the decision and commitment to use deadly force if required. I have been carrying for many years, and I have aquired further training at Front Sight to do so more effectively!
