Front Sight Mail Bag: Not Meant to be Put in a Drawer

March 11th, 2016

Dear Dr. Piazza,

If you want to shoot a gun you need to be trained in safety. If you want to use a gun for self-defense you need to be trained in the use of the firearm, be knowledgeable in when and how to use it and know when not to. It’s not something you put in your drawer and pull out and start waving around. A class at Front Sight puts you on the right path. It takes more training that a 4 day course and a permit to use any firearm in a self-defense situation but a class at Front Sight is an excellent start. And it’s a lot of fun!! One more thing, I asked some of the folks in my class “What do you think of the training we have experienced?”, Two were peace officers and one was military, I was impressed but I wanted to be sure it just was not me. The reply was that the training was beyond what they expected and were well satisfied and would highly recommend it to anyone.
