Front Sight Mailbag: Didn’t Grow up with Guns…

Dear Dr. Piazza,
As an individual that didn’t grow up around guns and have only shot a couple of guns in my life, I didn’t really know what to expect. The night before the first day, I didn’t sleep very well – like a kid the night before Christmas. Not only was the class informative, with the required serious notes on safety and training, but also had bits of humor interwoven – making for a very enjoyable time. Each day, I left physically and mentally drained – and ready to go back the next day. I wound up graduating – a huge testament to the level of training – to take someone with little to no gun experience and bring them up to the level necessary to reach graduate level in a single 4 day course. I’m already trying to figure out when I can plan my next trip.
