Front Sight Mailbag: Blew the Assumptions Away…
December 10th, 2021
Dear Dr. Piazza,
I assumed before I attended Front Sight training that I would be way out of my league that I would feel intimidated, and judged negatively for my lack of skill. I was especially concerned that I would be yelled at by instructors. My prior handgun training was very limited and inferior. I knew my skills were lacking and my knowledge base was poor. What I learned at Front Sight, and the way in which I learned it was critically important to me. I learned in an atmosphere of strong instructor support. The combination of repetitive drill practice, live fire instructor observed practice, very patient instruction, and insightful correction of my observed improper grip and rapid trigger pulls helped me learn and make corrections.
