Dear Dr. Piazza,
You are indeed, a Great American…
An excellent article and offer to the schools in our nation. Hopefully, this will “take hold” and training will begin. It is encouraging to find an organization like yours which is not encumbered by the normal and very dangerous philosophy of disarming the citizenry and thereby creating peace and tranquility, safety and security. History proves unequivocally this does not work!! One person with a weapon and/or one person trained in weapon takeaway could have changed the entire outcome. It is difficult to believe not one person tried to physically disarm or incapacitate the assailant but this seems to be the case rather than the exception nowadays, save for a few “clear thinking” individuals with proper training. Thanks for trying to stem the tide. Our hearts, prayers and encouragement are with you and yours and those at Front Sight for you are all truly making a difference.
