Front Sight Mailbag: Ensuring the Safety of Families

Dear Dr. Piazza,
I actually brought 7 new to Front Sight people. Three of those I brought were/are LEO’s. One has been an NRA certified instructor for the last 2 decades. They all had positive comments to me about the quality of the program.
I finally brought one of my kids, she is 27. After the mostly “peaceful protests” of last year she and her husband wanted a handgun. I went with them to purchase a Glock 19. I then gave them an hour and a half of safety training and dry practice drills to practice until we could attend a 4DDHG. While she did not graduate she performed well. In fact, she made it to the semifinal round of the man-on-man competition. She told me that she felt empowered and confident in the use of a firearm for self-defense. I was and am a proud father as a result of her attendance and performance. Thank you for helping me ensure the proper handling of firearms and the safety of my family.
